My man is close to the action and his reports suggest to me that Novacyt (NCYT) now in the skilled hands of Lynn Rees, the man who crashed Yourgene (YGEN) could well also crash and burn in 2024. At 66p the market cap is £47 million and the company had £81.7 million cash and no debt at June 30 BUT….

Once upon a time, Yourgene (YGEN) was a growth stock, the sort of company where shoot the lights out sales increases justified a lofty multiple which might allow for yet another fund raise. How times have changed. Today’s trading update was piss poor and, whatever bearded boss Lynn Rees might say, there must be a very high chance of a 2023 placing, as I warned three weeks ago HERE.

Yesterday we suggested that Adam Reynolds was involved in the IPO of dog Abingdon Health (ABDX). This was inaccurate and I take full responsibility and apologise for the error. which was swiftly corrected. Reynolds buddy Lynn Rees was involved in the IPO which I exposed as a shocker HERE but as for Reynolds it seems he agreed with me.

In its dark days as Premaitha (NIPT), this company was dogged by bully boy US giant Illumina which tried to put it out of business with a claim for patent infringement. New boss Lynn Rees not only sorted that out but as part of the deal, entered a partnership with Illumina. Now the bully boys are on our side.

Okay he is Welsh, but there is no doubt in my mind that the new boss of Yourgene (YGEN), Lynn Rees is a class act. He recorded an interview with Proactiv e Investors yesterday which I viewed as very encouraging. I am expecting another very upbeat trading statement within weeks to confirm that the debt free company is now profitable and with big operational gearing and surging sales, should become very profitable really very quickly indeed. And that should driv e a material re-rate fior the shares which are now 10.75p - 11.25p, My target remains 20p and this was my Q1 nap pick and I'd expect by April the shares to be a lot closer to that target than to where they are now. Judge for yourself.
